What usually goes wrong

Five problems that cost an independent restaurant real covers

Every one of these is fixable in the site itself, not with a new menu or a new chef.

The menu online does not match what is on the table

A PDF from two seasons ago still shows dishes you retired and prices you raised, so guests arrive expecting something you no longer serve.

Hours are wrong on the one day it matters

A holiday closes the kitchen early and the site still says you are open until ten.

Built for search engines, not a hungry phone

The site loads slowly and reads like a document, not a menu someone can scan standing outside.

Reservation and ordering links sit three clicks deep

A guest ready to book or order has to hunt through a footer or a separate app link to find the button that matters.

Nobody in the kitchen has time to touch a website

A price change or a new special waits weeks for whoever built the site to have a free afternoon.

The menu page anatomy

What every restaurant website's menu page has to carry

A menu page is a document with a job to do. Here is what belongs on it, and where.

Reading the marks

1

A header that answers "are you open" first. The restaurant name sits with today's status and closing time, so the first thing a guest reads is whether it is worth reading the rest.

2

Sections in the order guests actually read them. Starters, mains, desserts and drinks appear in a natural sequence, not alphabetically or however they happened to be typed.

3

A short description under each dish name. Enough detail to help a decision, never so much that a phone screen turns into a wall of text.

4

Prices aligned in their own column. Set in a tabular figure so the numbers line up cleanly and a guest can compare options at a glance, the way a printed menu does.

5

Dietary marks with somewhere to point to. A small, consistent mark next to an affected dish links to a fuller notice. The restaurant supplies and owns that information; we build the place it lives.

6

Reservation and ordering links, not buried. Placed at the top and repeated near the bottom, pointed at the platforms the restaurant already uses.

What is included

Everything a restaurant site needs, in one monthly fee

The website itself

Every page listed for your restaurant type, custom coded and managed.

Menu pages, built and maintained

Sections, prices and dietary marks kept current as part of your plan.

One domain, free

Registered in your name for as long as your plan is active, or point one you own.

Cloudflare hosting, included

SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth, nothing itemised.

Enquiries routed into your CRM

By direct API, Zapier or Make, whichever fits how you already work.

A managed team

Updates, revisions and support without hiring anyone in house.

Fast enough to keep the guest who almost left

Every page is custom coded and served from the edge, guaranteed90+ on PageSpeed. That matters most on the menu page, the one a hungry visitor opens first on a phone with a weak connection.

Built to be found, not just to look right

Structured menu pages, location pages and researched articles give search engines real content to index. Visibility from a new site typically builds over 3 to 5 months, as pages get indexed and articles accumulate.

Questions

Answers on the offer

The full list, grouped, lives on the FAQ page.

What do I actually get for the monthly fee?
A fully managed, custom-coded website for your restaurant: a menu page built for a phone, hours and location pages, reservation and ordering links to the platforms you already use, weekly detail updates, managed hosting and a client portal. The Full Menu adds the AI Engine and The Tasting Menu adds the Content Engine on top of everything in The Daily Menu.
How long until my restaurant's site is live?
7 days on The Daily Menu, 10 on The Full Menu while the AI agents are trained, and 15 on The Tasting Menu with the content engine running. The clock starts at the onboarding call, not at purchase, so the sooner the form is in, the sooner the menu is live.
Do you write our menu descriptions or set our prices?
No. We build and format the menu page, its sections, its layout and the place dietary marks and availability live. The dish names, descriptions, prices and any allergen or ingredient disclosures come from you. We are a website design and management company, not a restaurant, caterer, food safety authority or licensing body, and we never advise on what that information should say.
What happens right after I buy?
You fill in the onboarding form and submit it. It asks for your menu, your hours, your locations, your brand, your domain and where enquiries should land, and it takes about 15 minutes. If something is missing, submit anyway: you can send the rest by email or raise it as a ticket in your client portal, and it will not hold up the build. We then run one onboarding call to fill any gaps and agree the launch date.
What is the client portal?
It is your account with us, and you get it the day your site goes live. From the portal you request revisions, raise a support ticket for anything that needs attention, send us files you still owe us like a new menu PDF or updated photos, and message our team directly. You never log in to the website itself; we handle that side.
Do I need professional photos before we start?
No. Send whatever photos you have and we work with them; the site can launch with a smaller set and grow as better photography comes in. A photo swap later is a normal revision, not a separate project.
